Culinary recommendations

Guesthouses, hotels, restaurants there are lots of oppurtunities to taste he variety of the East Tyrol local cuisine. Specialities like Schildkrapfen, Tyrol Gröstl, Tyrolean dumplings, “Ingsante Niggelen” poppy Noodles is an absolut must try and essential.

In addition, it has its charm, with a visit to a typical restaurant to witness something of the lifestyle and customs of the indigenous population ... a very special highlight of a holiday in East Tyrol.

Of course, many restaurants in the area also offer vegetarian meals. Thus, a vegetarian don’t have to miss the the culinary delicacy on holiday and could develop in the associated lifestyle.

Also an excursion to the nearby South Tyrol (Italien border 9km) is an expierence. The fragrance of Italy, the hedonistic lifestyle of our southern neighbor is immediately noticeable. And on this side you cant miss out on tastings of typical liquore and wine specialities and rarites.

Numerours huts are partially reachable by easy lifts (even in summer). With those original and traditional culinary specialties you can complete the tasteful enjoyment.
